" Drawing on Receipts "
This series is painting and drawing on reused shopping related papers and packaging. It was partly motivated by these being free and immediately available materials and also not wanting to waste them. I started it when I was in the UK in early 2025 and I'm still adding to it.
In some cases I've not kept the originals. For example, when working in oil stick on unprimed surfaces - this deteriorates the papers. It is not important to me whether the work is kept long-term or not. I prefer to work quickly when the mood strikes and not worry about that issue.
