Recent News
I'm currently in a phase of figuring out what to do with the type of work I share here as well as other styles of art I have been working in and how, what, where, and if to show and possibly sell work or prints of work. All of this is in part due to traveling long-term, which creates some logistical challenges.

I'm working on choosing POD services for prints and other products, considering Etsy, working on a shop here for the site, and have a few items on Fine Art America. This is all in a testing and researching phase still. I want to limit compromises as much as possible. In the meantime, email me if there is anything you see here or on Bluesky that you are interested in regarding prints and I will be happy to get it in the pipe or place a specific order for you directly.
Bio

Born Lee Bishop Jenkins in Monroe, NC in 1966, Lee was raised moving from town to town in the state and then spent her teen years in Winston-Salem. She is based in the Western US and currently traveling abroad.

Trained in traditional figurative styles of painting, drawing, and photography, Lee's more recent and current work focuses more on the experimental, abstract, and expressive. Her work in drawing, photography, and video / short film has been exhibited in the US and Europe.

As a young person, Lee's art and crafts were exhibited and won awards, and in her teens she illustrated zines and created punk rock t-shirts. She has written about art and film for blogs, taught elementary school kids about art history and drawing, and led Meetup group drawing and film viewing field trips and discussions. She has also created, curated, and organized online projects of other artists' works.

Her arts background also includes music, acting, and modeling.

Statement

My practice for work and life sometimes involves detaching from mental processes and even emotion in order to allow a freely flowing and more natural experience for whatever comes up. This can result in some minimal abstracts and naive or primitive type work, or photo and video that is simple and direct but regularly has something off about it too. I call a lot of what I do experimental or just "experiments" because that's what they were for me at the time.
